RVC Dental Hygiene Program seeking patients

Posted:
ROCKFORD (WREX) -

The Dental Hygiene Program at Rock Valley College is looking for patients who have not received regular routine dental cleanings.

Patients can receive full oral examinations and professional cleanings for a low cost through the program's clinic. However, because of the clinic's educational nature, patients should expect multiple appointments lasting approximately three and a half hours.

The clinic is also looking for patients between the ages of five and twelve for exams carried out by RVC Dental Hygiene students. All exams include x-rays and fluoride varnish and are supervised by a registered hygienist and dentist.

The cost for the exams range from $38 to $53, but fees can vary based on each child's needs.

The clinic is located at RVC's Stenstrom Center for Career Education at 4151 Samuelson Road. To make an appointment, call 815-921-3235.

Depending on the needs of the students, everyone who calls may not be able to make an appointment.
