IGNITE reassesses focus for new year

An organization consisting of young professionals who are active in the community is working on nailing down concrete goals for 2013.

IGNITE's members include professionals in their twenties, thirties, and forties who actively work on bettering the community. In the upcoming year, the organization hopes to focus on several things, including attracting and retaining young professionals, educating members on issues the community faces, developing members professionally, and getting members more involved in the community.

The organization will also continue to host special events, allowing young professionals, including those who are involved with IGNITE and those who are not, to network and make connections.

Many IGNITE members currently sit on several boards throughout Rockford, some of whom were included in the Rockford Chamber of Commerce's 40 Leaders Under 40.
