A Rockford hospital is now offering a support group for patients and the families of those who suffer from Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig's disease.
The ALS Association of Greater Chicago will host the meetings at OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center. The meetings will allow patients, family members, friends, and caregivers to discuss the issues and feelings they face while dealing with the disease. They can also learn and share new information while providing support to each other.
The meeting will be held on Saturday, January 26, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center in the Saint Anthony Conference Room. For more information, visit www.alsachicago.org. Registration is encouraged, but not required.
