Rock County Detectives received information on Monday that the suspects were possibly at the Kalahari Resort in the Wisconsin Dells. Lake Delton Police were notified and witnessed the suspect car leaving the resort area.
Police attempted to stop the car, but the car drove off, starting a short chase. The car stopped in front of the Crystal Grand Theater and all four occupants got out and ran away. Christopher Kimps and Sarah Buckingham were apprehended at that time.
The other two suspects, Jesse Adams and Kayla Pearson, ran into a large wooded area. The Sauk County Sheriff's Office and other local agencies set up a perimeter and called in canine units and a helicopter to search for the two suspects.
Several hours later, Adams was apprehended about one mile away from the theater. Canine units were then brought back into that area and Pearson was found hiding in the woods near a building about 100 yards from the suspect car.
Twenty-one long guns were found in the car, 20 of which were identified as being stolen from the Fulton Township home in question. Pearson was a friend of the victim's son. All four are scheduled to appear in court Wednesday. They face the following charges:
