The chief of the Northwest Fire Department was laid to rest Monday, after a battle with liver cancer.
Tom Ragnar, Sr., spent 50 years with the department was promoted to chief in 1999. He passed away last week. A visitation was held Sunday and funeral services were held Monday morning at the Faith Center.
Ragnar was 69 years old and left behind a wife and three children.
