RAVE gets $4 million grant from DCEO

The Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity has awarded $4 million in grant money to Rockford Area Venues and Entertainment for capital improvements to venues.

The money will go toward renovations projects at the BMO Harris Bank Center, Davis Memorial Festival park, and the Coronado Performing Arts Center. The goal of the renovations is to help bring more high-profile acts to Rockford, which will in turn help boost the local economy.

The grant is part of the Illinois Jobs Now! capital construction program.
