
UPDATE:
An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday in a weekend homicide in Dixon.
Police responded to 230 Lincolnway on Sunday afternoon where they found the body of 34 year old Yolanda Sigler in the residence. Her husband, 34 year old Brian Sigler reportedly suffered numerous injuries from self-inflicted knife wounds. He is in intensive care at KSB Hospital and is under police watch.
Dixon police say they do not expect charges to be filed until Sigler is released from the hospital.

PREVIOUSLY:
DIXON, IL- The Dixon Police Department is currently conducting an investigation into a homicide that occurred at 230 Lincolnway in Dixon on today's date. At approximately 2:26 p.m. the Dixon Police Department and the Dixon Fire Department responded to the residence after receiving a 911 call of a male subject requiring assistance.
The male subject was transported to KSB Hospital with life threatening wounds which are believed to be self-inflicted. Officers located the body of a deceased female inside the residence as well. At this time, the department is not releasing any further details about this incident pending further investigation and the notification of next of kin.
The investigation appears to be related to domestic violence and the public is not at risk. The Lee County State's Attorney's Office, the Lee County Sheriff's Department, the Illinois State Police – Crime Scene Services, and the Lee County Coroner's Office have assisted the Department with the investigation.
