AT&T recognizes an area organization for investing in the state of Illinois.
Taus Inc. started in Rockford in 1959. The group supports local community projects and develops scholarships for African American female students.
The award provides contributions to organizations like Taus, that work toward the betterment of communities through education, economic growth and service.
