The City of Freeport wants to hear back from its residents on what they think is most important when it comes to housing.
The City plans to apply for grants to go toward housing rehabilitation to help low to moderate income families bring their homes up to code. A requirement of the grant application process is a housing needs survey.
"We are asking that Freeport residents take a few moments to complete the survey. The results will help us present a strong grant application, which will help us bring this much-needed grant funding to our community," Community Development Director Shelly Griswold said.
Residents received copies of the survey in their water and sewer bills. There are also copies available online at the City of Freeport website, as well as in the Community Development Office, 3rd Floor, City Hall, 524 West Stephenson Street.
You can also find the survey online, here. Responses will be taken until February 1.
