Machesney Park residents interested in being on the Planning & Zoning Commission are encouraged to apply.
Letters of interest can be submitted to Village President Tom Strickland, Village of Machesney Park, 300 Roosevelt Road, Machesney Park, Illinois 61115. Letters will be accepted until the position is filled.
The commission acts as an advisory commission to the Village Board and makes recommendations on petitions and applications for zoning, subdivision, and issues related to Machesney Park's zoning code.
The group meets monthly and is comprised of seven members, all of whom are appointed by the village president with the consent of the Board of Trustees.
The person elected will fill the current unexpired term. The reappointment term is four years.
