Loves Park Police investigating 5 car accident

LOVES PARK (WREX) -

Loves Park Police are investigating a five car accident that sent one person to the hospital.

An officer on the scene tells us a white van ran a red light and got hit at Harlem Road and North Alpine Road. This first accident caused a pile up involving five cars.

At least one person was injured and sent to Swedish American Hospital for a head injury. A traffic signal was also damaged in the crash.
