DeKalb Co. police investigating theft, burglary


DeKalb County police are looking for the public's help in solving two separate incidents in Sycamore and Waterman.

A Sycamore resident reported the theft of two antique guns taken from a residence in the 1500 block of Brickville Road between December 28 and January 3. Taken were a shotgun approximately 80 to 100 years old and a 20 gauge shotgun approximately 40 years old.

Police are also investigating a burglary to Houlahan's Tavern and Grille in Waterman. The incident occurred between January 5 and January 6. A window in the back was forced open to allow a suspect to gain entry. Investigators are still working to find out if anything was taken.
