One of the candidates for Rockford mayor now has a physical home for his campaign.
Democratic candidate Jim Hughes will set up campaign headquarters at 2510 Charles Street. He says residents can feel free to visit and file complaints for everything from getting street lights back to problems closer to home.
"It can also be for a problem in your neighborhood, to drug houses, you name it and we'll take care of it for you," Hughes said.
Hughes plans on opening an office on Rockford's west side as well. He faces incumbent Independent Larry Morrissey and Republican Michael Kleen on the ballot.
