Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Illinois got a little help from the Comcast Foundation recently, in the form of a $10,000 grant.

The grant will support the organization's mentoring program, which has been in Stephenson and Jo Daviess counties for over 40 years. Kids ages six to sixteen receive one-on-one mentoring in site-based and community-based settings through the program.

"Generous donations from Comcast and others give us the ability to provide vital services to the children and families we serve in our community," Beth Johnson, prevention and education supervisor at FHN Family Counseling Center, said.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Illinois is a program of the FHN Family Counseling Center.
