Fiscal cliff deal saves non-profits for now

If Congress had not passed the fiscal cliff deal, non-profits around the country could have suffered greatly.

Charitable deductions could have been capped or eliminated, but thanks to the deal, that was avoided. However, United Way of Rock River Valley CEO Paul Logli says that issue is likely to come up again later on, as lawmakers revisit ways to cut spending and keep tax increases low.

Logli says the issue could come up again in as little as two months when Congress talks about the debt ceiling.
