City of Belvidere collecting Christmas trees

BELVIDERE (WREX) -

If you live in Belvidere and you're ready to toss your live Christmas tree, you can do so now.

The Belvidere Street Department will be accepting trees from December 31 through January 11. Be sure to clear the tree of all ornaments, garland, and tinsel, first.

Trees can be dropped off in the fenced area at the Street Department, 515 West Locust Street.
