In Dixon, paperwork has been filed to build a museum in Veteran's Memorial Park.
Sauk Valley Media is reporting the new addition. park officials want the stories of Illinois veterans to be properly told.
The plan is still early in the making. as of now, it calls for a $1 million facility.
Park officials don't want to ask for local tax money, so they'll apply for grants.
A groundbreaking could happen in 2014.
