Sheriff still asking public for information on Baby Noah - – Rockford’s News Leader

Sheriff's office still appealing to public for information on Baby Noah

Officials still don't know how the baby boy found dead in a Roscoe recycling facility died, but they're hoping the public can help.

"Baby Noah" was found by workers at the now closed One Source recycling facility on a conveyor belt covered in trash in July of this year. Autopsy results came back inconclusive and toxicology results were clean. Just last month, a Winnebago County Coroner's jury ruled the cause of death undetermined.

It is still not known who Noah's parents are, but Winnebago County Sheriff's Deputy Chief Dominic Iasparro hopes someone will come forward.

"We're again appealing to the public," he says. "We're confident that someone knows about this other than the mother of the child. It would be very rare that only the mother would know what happened."

Anyone with any information on Baby Noah's death is encouraged to call the Winnebago County Sheriff's Office at 815-319-6300.
