Single vehicle crash claims the life of Sycamore man

SYCAMORE (WREX) -

Just after 1:30 this morning DeKalb Sheriff's Police and Sycamore fire personnel responded to a single vehicle crash at Freed Road and Tesla Court in Sycamore.

83-year-old Russell A. Swanson, of Sycamore, was unresponsive and taken to Kishwaukee Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

His car was traveling east bound on Freed Road when he left the roadway and came to rest in a tree near Tesla Court. The accident is under investigation by the DeKalb County Sheriff's Department and DeKalb County Sheriff's Office.
