On UPS' busiest day of the year, there's no action at the shipping giant's second biggest air hub.
That's at the Chicago Rockford International Airport. The company canceled its night sort at RFD. This would have been UPS' busiest night in Rockford. The 30 planes scheduled for RFD will be sent to Louisville instead. The shutdown affects several hundred workers. Across the country, UPS was expected to handle 28 million packages, about double a normal day. A spokeswoman says because of the storm there may be delays.
