Arrest clears several Rockford burglaries


The arrest of a 26-year-old Rockford man clears several residential burglaries.

Officers responded to a home in the 100 block of South London Avenue just before 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 10. The resident told police her home was broken into and several items were taken.

After a follow up investigation, Joseph Guerin was charged with residential burglary. He was arrested on December 11 just before 10:00 a.m. in the 1000 block of Loomis Street. During his arrest, narcotic paraphernalia was located on his person and he was subsequently also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Guerin was later also charged with burglary for a theft that occurred at the Road Ranger on 11th Street on December 10. Residential burglaries at 817 Hartford and 1903 Nebraska were also cleared with his arrest.

Rockford Police are not officially releasing a photo of Guerin due to ongoing investigations.
