
Eight Rockford high school students will serve as liaisons between administration and students during the 2012 - 2013 school year.
The Superintendent's Student Advisory Council's main goal of the coming year is to expand the Natural Helpers program, which encourages high schoolers to mentor and help their peers if they are in need. Members of the council will meet in December to outline other projects the group will tackle.
"I'm excited about the members of our student advisory council, and what they'll accomplish," Angela Lundin, group advisor, said. "All of our students want to make a difference in their schools."
