A DeKalb man waited ten months before claiming his $200,000 winning lottery ticket.
Jacob Skala commented, "I don't like to rush into anything," when asked why he waited so long to claim his prize. His $1 Little Lotto (now called Lucky Day Lotto) matched all five numbers in the February 13, 2012 drawing.
"I checked my ticket at the store back in February. When I realized I had won, I just slowly walked out and went home," Skala said. After that, he put the winning ticket into a safety deposit box where it remained until just recently.
Skala plans to share some of his winnings with his family, before depositing the rest.
