$65,000 given to United Way organization

Raffles and prize drawings bring in some serious cash for United Way.

Employees of the Belvidere Chrysler plant and members of UAW raised $65,000 for the United Way of Rock River Valley.  Their annual United Way pledge campaign was held in October and November.  This year's check is nearly 4 times last year's amount of $18,000.

UAW members and Chrysler employees raised an additional $360,000 in employees' payroll deductions for the organization.
