Make a Wish and Allegiant give Rockford boy trip of a lifetime - WREX.com – Rockford’s News Leader

One Rockford boy's wish is coming true thanks to Allegiant Air and the Make A Wish Foundation.
Grant Valentine and his family left for Orlando from the Chicago Rockford International Airport on Monday morning for a trip to Disney World. They were given a grand send-off from Allegiant employees and others, including the Rockford IceHog's Hammy.
"I think it's very important," Make A Wish Volunteer Allison Lake said. "It makes the wish experience for the family much more special, instead of just coming here and sitting."
Last year, the Make A Wish Foundation granted nearly 14,000 wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses.
