The primary ballot for Rockford mayor will have one less name on it next February.
The City of Rockford Board of Election Commissioners voted Monday to remove Democrat Anthony Stewart Foreman from the ballot after an objection to Foreman's petitions was raised.
The board ruled that the consecutive numbering of Foreman's petitioning sheets was not done correctly, and therefore he could not be a candidate on the ballot.
Foreman has the option of going to the Circuit Court to file a challenge against the board's ruling.
