3 teens arrested for Rockford attempted burglary

ROCKFORD (WREX) -

Three teens have been arrested after a burglary attempt on a home in the 3400 block of Sunnyside Avenue.

Police received a call around 11:15 a.m. on December 5 for a burglary in progress. The caller said two people were kicking at the doors to the home and trying to get in. However, by the time police arrived, the suspects had gone. The caller gave police a detailed description of the suspects, and two possible suspects were found in a nearby car by police and arrested.

A follow-up investigation led to the following charges:

  • Michael Scott, 18, Rockford
    • Attempted Burglary to Residence
    • Residential Burglary Warrant
  • Male Juvenile, 16, Rockford
    • Attempted Burglary to Residence
    • Residential Burglary
  • Kevin Clark, 19, Rockford
    • Attempted Burglary to Residence
    • Resisting Police Warrant

The following burglaries were also cleared with the above arrests:

  • 2515 Starkweather
  • 2317 Custer
  • 2304 Custer
  • 3006 Ridgeway
  • 1818 Beldon
  • 2422 Custer
