Time is running out for future scientists who need help paying for college.
There are 2, $10,000 awards and 4, $5,000 awards to be given through the Thermo Scientific Pierce Scholarship program. Graduates, undergraduates and even incoming freshman can apply. In order to qualify, students need to have declared a major in a life science field. Recipients should also have diversity in college or high school activities.
Neal Kitchen, Immunoassays Product Manager at Thermo Scientific Fisher, says the selection is crucial to future products.
"It's really an opportunity for us to give back and to help develop. As you can imagine, a company like Thermo Fisher Scientific is where in order to continue to develop great products, we need to have the best scientists."
The deadline to apply is December 14th. Winners will be announced in January. For more information head to thermoscientific/PierceScholarship.com.
