Machesney Park man arrested on weapons charges

A 20-year-old Machesney Park man has been arrested on charges related to an incident that occurred in March of this year.

Loves Park Police arrested Roger G. Glavin Jr. on December 4 for an incident that occurred in Shorewood Park on March 17. Police say they got a call around 4:00 a.m. for shots fired in that area. About ten minutes later, a victim with a gunshot to the neck arrived at a local hospital, claiming the injury was sustained at Shorewood Park.

Glavin has been charged with the following:

  • Aggravated Battery with a Firearm
  • Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm
  • Unlawful Use of Weapon by a Felon
  • No FOID Card

Glavin was lodged in the Winnebago County Jail on $250,000 (10 percent) bond.
