Mill Foundation accepting grant applications

ROCKFORD (WREX) -

Local non-profits could get some help from the Mill Foundation during the spring grant cycle.

The foundation is currently accepting grant applications from programs and organizations that help local youth. To qualify, programs and organizations must:

  • Be compatible with the foundation's mission statement, which is, "The Mill Foundation seeks to help abused, neglected and at-risk youth and their families to develop and establish appropriate values, healthy relationships, behaviors and life skills that will lead to responsible and productive lives."
  • Be a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt, not-for-profit organization
  • Service part of the greater Rockford area, which encompasses Boone, Ogle, Stephenson, and Winnebago counties
  • Report on measurable outcomes
