IL State Police District 16 release results of November enforcement

PECATONICA (WREX) -

Troopers with Illinois State Police District 16 gave out a total of 230 citations and arrests during special Traffic Enforcement Patrols (sTEP) last month.

The patrols were conducted at Interstates 39 and 90, US Route 20, Business Route 20, and State Routes 2, 70, 75, and 251. The following citations and arrests occurred:

  • Occupant restraint citations - 67
  • Driving under the influence arrests - 3
  • Drug/alcohol-related arrests - 8
  • Speeding citations - 101
  • Speeding written warnings - 21
  • Total citations/arrests - 230
  • Total written warnings - 21

The sTEP enforcement was funded through the Illinois Department of Transportation's Division of Traffic Safety.
