Last day to sign up for Salvation Army Christmas Assistance

Individuals and families in need of assistance this holiday season still have a short time to sign up for help.

The Salvation Army will have its last day of registration for Christmas Assistance on Friday until 4:00 p.m. Those wanting to register should bring the following with them:

  • Photo ID for head of household
  • Proof of address for every member of the household, including children
    • November or December 2012 medical card OR lease OR recent mail OR school records
  • Proof of birthdate for every child in the household that is 13 and younger
    • Same identification as above

Registration is being held in the old Sears Essentials building, 1515 East Riverside Boulevard in Loves Park.

So far, over 1,500 families have registered and The Salvation Army says many more are welcome.
