Rockford College hosts career day for hundreds of high schoolers

Hundreds of juniors and seniors from area high schools descended on Rockford College Thursday to take part in its annual High School Career Day.

Over 35 local professionals from businesses such as Goodwill Businesses, Rockford College, and United Aerospace Systems, joined Rockford College faculty and staff and alumni in sharing career options and paths with students.

Throughout the day, students attended sessions on choosing a career path, gaining experience, and how to present themselves to employers. They also heard speeches from Rockford Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Einar Forsman and Rockford Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Ehren Jarrett.

Featured career fields included accounting, education, engineering, international business, non-profit, and more.
