1099 G tax form now available electronically - WREX.com – Rockford’s News Leader

For those that collected unemployment in Illinois this year, tax preparation just got a little bit easier.
You can now request to be notified when the form is available on the Illinois Department of Employment Security's website. There, "Tax Information/1099G Form" will be on the left side of the landing page next to "Payments". Those without a username and password will be asked to make one.
The form is available for the last seven years and is necessary to complete state and federal tax returns.
Being able to access the form electronically means people can get started on their taxes instead of waiting for the form to be mailed to them.
