Gunfire hits home with woman, child inside - WREX.com – Rockford’s News Leader

A Rockford home comes under fire late Wednesday.
Police say shots were fired at a home in the 500 block of Indiana Avenue around 9:00 p.m. Wednesday. After the gunfire, a brick was thrown through a window and someone tried to toss a homemade device through the broken window. A woman and child were inside the home at the time, but were not hurt.
The only clue police have to go on is a witness report about a dark vehicle seen in the area just before the attack.
