Auburn High School head football coach Dan Appino will be honored at Sunday's Chicago Bears game against the Seattle Seahawks.
The Bears named Appino their "Coach of the Week" for week six after Auburn beat Guilford for the 100th win of Appino's career.
Appino took over at Auburn this season after leading Boylan to back-to-back state championships. He guided the Knights to the playoffs for the first time in almost 20 years. Auburn also snapped its 35 game losing streak in the season's opening game.
Appino will be honored on the field during Sunday's game, and will attend a practice and "chalk talk" session with Bears head coach Lovie Smith.
