Due to an impasse, the Fraternal Order of Police must work under the last contract offer from the board of Rock Valley College.
The two organizations have undergone negotiations and federal mediations since February of last year, but have not come to an agreement. An impasse was declared in October, with RVC submitting their last, and what they consider best, offer on October 12.
The college gave the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) until November 27 to accept that contract or it would be implemented anyway on December 7.
The deadline passed without the FOP's acceptance.
