Sometimes recognition comes in the simplest of forms. In one case, a headstone.
Private Charles Steele served in the Civil War. Until now, you might not have known. Private Steele's grave was only marked with a regular headstone.
Thanks to the hard work of Steele's multi-great grandson who happens to work in genealogy, Steele's grave is fitted with an appropriate marker.
