Thomason Machine Works cuts ribbon on new location

A company that's been in the Rockford region for over 34 years now has a new location to call home.

Thomason Machine Works cut the ribbon its new location at 5459 11th Street on Thursday. The new building is over three times the size of the company's previous location, making it possible for all operations to take place under the same roof.

"The Rockford economy is a great area for our industry and the fastener industry," Thomason Machine Works Sales Manager Mike Thomas said. "There are plenty of people who are skilled here. It's a great place to grow, and like I said, it's a good time for our industry and for lots of manufacturing in Rockford."

The new facility will also allow for more growth for the company.
