Belvidere Central Middle School entered in grant competition

BELVIDERE (WREX) -

The students at Belvidere Central Middle School are asking for your help so they can win a $50,000 grand prize grant.

The school's nomination has been accepted in the Clorox Power a Bright Future Grant Program. Belvidere Central hopes to win 125 iPads for student use. The school is currently overcrowded and there is not enough locker space for books. The use of iPads would help eliminate the need for textbooks while still allowing students to learn.

The school with the most votes will be awarded a $50,000 grant, and only seven schools around the country will win grant money. To vote, visit www.powerabrightfuture.com.
