Night club's liquor license fate decided Wednesday

Posted: Updated:

Last week, San Jose Night club received a seven-day liquor license suspension, issued by Rockford city leaders.

Wednesday, Rockford's Liquor Commission, made up of Aldermen Johnson, McNeely, and Jacobson, will discuss what's next for the night club. Club representatives will have a chance to argue their side of the case. Commission members will offer input, but it's ultimately up to Mayor Larry Morrissey whether San Jose Night Club gets its license back.

"This hearing will occur with the hope that if additional action needs to take place, one way or another, it will be done during this time when there's a suspension of their license so that we don't risk further harm to the citizens in the community." -says Mayor Morrissey.

This all happens at 2 p.m. in the city council chambers at City Hall.
