The autopsy results are in for the woman who was found dead in the Rock River last Friday after being reported missing in Machesney Park in late October.
An autopsy was performed on the body of Katrina Smith by the Ogle County Coroner's Office on November 10. Results showed Smith suffered blunt force trauma. The case of her death is now being classified as a homicide.
Detectives from both the Ogle County and Winnebago County Sheriff's Departments attended the autopsy.
