21-year-old shot in 1200 block of South Winnebago

ROCKFORD (WREX) -

Rockford Police responded to a report of a shooting victim in the 1200 block of Rockford's South Winnebago Street around 1:40 p.m. Monday afternoon.

The victim is 21 years old and suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Rockford Police are looking for a black male armed with a handgun that was last seen fleeing the area in a tan SUV.
