The Salvation Army was busy as part of a welcoming committee for a special guest at Cherry Vale Mall.
To kickoff the Holiday season, Santa and his team have landed at CherryVale, they are checking their lists twice as eager children share their Christmas lists.
Families and kids line up, waiting for the trademark laugh you only hear this time of year.
After parking his sleigh, Santa took a seat and began listening to requests one by one.
"I come down to this area a lot because the kids around this area seem to be very nice. Very good kids," said Santa
Celia and Mike Hayes brought their three kids to the mall as part of a shopping trip. "We saw Santa and we thought, why not?"
This year, Santa has some big orders to fill.
Hays says his kids have been good this year, as he and his wife get stated checking off items from their shopping list. "Well we can't say too many right now with little ears listening but they've definitely gotten the top few choices they've been looking for. From Santa of course."
Other parents are getting a head start as well.
Santa's most popular request so far? "I would say probably right now, an iPad, maybe. that's probably the biggest one right now," said Santa.
Santa's arrival also helped to light the Holiday tree inside the mall thanks to a little of his magic. If your kids want to stop and see Santa, he will be at the mall every day from now until Christmas.
