Nominees announced for Heart of Rockford Awards

ROCKFORD (WREX) -

The River District has announced the nominees for the 25th Heart of Rockford Awards, which honors both individuals and business who are helping to move downtown Rockford forward.

Nominations were submitted in the categories of new business, commitment by a business, commitment by an individual, residential/commercial renovation or new construction, and festival/special event.

The nominees for this year include:

  • Beverly Broyles
  • City Body Shop
  • District Bar & Grill
  • Loyd & Diane Koch
  • Pablo Korona
  • Mosaic Film Project
  • Nadi
  • PR Etc.
  • Rockford Art Deli (R.A.D.)
  • Pamela Schallhorn
  • Screw City Beer Festival
  • Vintage @501
  • Williams McCarthy

A panel of volunteer judges have reviewed the nominees and the winners will be announced during the award ceremony at the Prairie Street Brewhouse on November 15. Tickets can be purchased at www.riverdistrict.com.
