DEVELOPING: Crews on scene of a body found in the Rock River

Members of the Ogle County Sheriff's Department, and the Byron Fire Department and Water Rescue team responded to an area of the Rock River just south of Byron for a body in the water.

The call came in just after 12:30 p.m. on November 9. A female body was recovered from the river, but she has not been identified.

An autopsy is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. Saturday morning.
