Chicago Bears LB Brian Urlacher was named NFC Defensive Player of the Week and CB Sherrick McManis was honored as NFC Special Teams Player of the Week following last Sunday's 51-20 win over the Tennessee Titans.

Urlacher recorded one interception, which he returned 46 yards for a touchdown, one forced fumble, which was recovered by the Bears, and a fumble recovery to go along with seven press box tackles. It was the second time in Urlacher's career that he recorded an interception, forced fumble and fumble recovery in the same contest (October 7, 2011 at Atlanta). The interception return was the fifth touchdown of Urlacher's career (two interception return TDs, two fumble return scores and one receiving touchdown). His four defensive touchdowns are tied for fourth most in franchise history. The 13-year NFL veteran now has 22 career interceptions, tied with Hall of Famer Dick Butkus for second most in franchise history among linebackers, trailing Doug Buffone (24).

This is the sixth NFC Defensive Player of the Week award for Urlacher, tied with Hall of Famer Richard Dent for most in franchise history.

McManis blocked a punt in the first quarter which was scooped up by Corey Wootton for a five-yard touchdown, the first points of the contest at Tennessee. McManis added two special teams tackles. It was the first blocked punt of McManis' career and his first player of the week award.

Urlacher and McManis are the first teammates to win Player of the Week awards in the same week since Week 4 of the 2008 season: Tampa Bay's Derrick Brooks (Defense) and Matt Bryant (Special Teams).
