Thousands of dollars is on the way to help restore one of Rockford's newest museums.
The "Party at Frank's" fundraiser brought in $36,000. It'll be used to help get the Frank Lloyd Wright designed home ready to open. The state of Illinois will match the amount dollar for dollar, making the grand total $72,000. Plaster work, the roof and bricks can now all be taken care of.
Wright is America's best-known architect, who designed the only handicap accessible home in 1949. Steve Bois, Chief Executive Officer of Rockford Area Realtors says "Places like this, quality of life issues like this, can help us as we're competing with talent all over the country, perhaps all over the world."
The Rockford Area Realtors Association organized the fundraiser but it was completely run by volunteers.
