Rockton jeweler to be featured in CMA gift bags

A Rockton jeweler will get big recognition among Nashville's finest at the 46th Annual CMA Awards on November 1.

Kim Girouard runs Kiki Bird Jewelry out of her home studio in Rockton, but her work has been featured on celebrities like Jordin Sparks and Mariska Hargitay, as well as on the sets of TV series like "Vampire Diaries" and "Pretty Little Liars".

Now, thanks to The Artisan Group, Girouard's work will also be featured in a gift lounge and in the gift bags for this year's CMA Awards.

"I actually started off selling at a flea market where it was $7 a table, and I sold $50 and I decided that doing jewelry and doing a business, more than just a hobby, was the way I wanted to go," she says.

Girouard's work can be found locally at Artificium, in downtown Rockford.
