Man shot in Rockford home invasion - WREX.com – Rockford’s News Leader

Saturday night Rockford Police responded to the 900 block of West Street for a home invasion.
A 52-year-old man and woman were at the residence. They reported two men entered their home, armed with guns and demanding things.
One suspect shot the man in the torso before the man and woman locked themselves in a bedroom.
They heard one more shot fired after that. After calling police they realized the family dog was dead.
The man shot has non-life threatening injuries.
Suspects are being interviewed by Rockford Police.
